Sugar Free Hawaiian Chicken

Need a good recipe for Labor Day weekend coming up, look further this is a finger licking healthy sugar free BBQ recipe you got to try. I start my Labor Day weekend holiday planning our desserts first because I love desserts and I know I can make it a head of time. Check out my recommendations for gluten free desserts you can make sugar free. Next the main course planning is grilling because Labor Day still summer around here and we can enjoy a big get together in the back yard. I make this Sugar Free Hawaiian Chicken that no one can resist, its so amazing finger licking good easy to make, not expensive to serve for a big get together and all the things I love by being healthy with no sugar. Most BBQ’s are so loaded with sugar because it caramelize the meat and adds a sweet taste, but did you know you don’t have to add sugar to your meats to get the same result. I use Lite &Sweet a natural sweetener xylitol erythritol blend, that is just as sweet as sugar, very low calorie, good for health in which it does not effect the blood sugar level it is only 7 on the glycemic index and works wonders for cooking, grilling and baking.

BBQ recipes call for a lot of sugar and can you imagine in 1 cup of sugar there are over 800 calories of non nutritional value. I swap the sugar for Lite and Sweet that is only 3 calories per serving and success I am still getting the sweetness on my meat without the unnecessary calories. For this recipe I choose to use boneless and skinless chicken thighs because I find them tastier, but you can make it with chicken breasts. I also use sugar free ketchup and reduced low-sodium soy sauce, sherry wine, ginger and garlic to enhance the sweet carmelized Hawaiian chicken flavor. You can serve with a nice summer salad and some steamed brown rice or quinoa. Its a super simple recipe to put together just add everything into a mixing bowl and coat the chicken with he marinade. Refrigerate the chicken on the marinade sauce for a few hours preferably over night so the flavors really penetrate the meat. After is just grill and enjoy.

I love this recipe to serve for a big crowed but its easily converted to a easy chicken meal for a week night for the family. My grill love the sweet bbq taste and I reserve a little bit of sauce before marinating the chicken so they can use extra to dip or coat their food. This recipe supplies nutritious immune boosting properties of garlic and ginger, making this meal everyones favorite from the adults to the children. Specially the adults appreciate that is sugar free sweet Hawaiian chicken and can enjoy extra pieces without having to eat less when I eliminate all the unnecessary sugar calories. Its also safe to eat for diabetics since this sweetener does not alter blood sugar levels.
