If you can remember my love for popsicles in the summer then you’ll know why having a popsicle made from every fruit is a must. Homemade popsicles are healthy and taste just as good if not better! So, for this recipe we will be making a homemade, no sugar added, strawberry and yogurt popsicle. It’ll take no time to make and will be much better than any typical popsicle, and will have a lot less calories.

For this specific popsicle recipe, I decided to add a twist, yogurt! If you’ve ever had a strawberries and cream popsicle you’ll know where the idea came from. I am always trying to incorporate additional healthy ingredients into my kids snacks and meals, and plain yogurt is one of those things I just can’t get my little girls to love. So, turn it into a popsicle and boom, life changer, they are blown away and will eat 10 of them. When eating yogurt alone you can see it’s loaded with sugar, so making this recipe I incorporate plain yogurt, strawberries and natural sweeten with xylitol and erythritol. So, when I say incorporate I really mean sneak in, but it’s basically the same thing right? Either way, my kids love them and they are getting plenty of nutrients from eating them!

I personally love plain Greek yogurt. I love the taste and texture, but what I love more is the health benefits that come with it. I am willing to turn that yummy yogurt into a shake, smoothie, dipping sauce or even a popsicle if it means my kids will be eating more and healthier foods. And at the end of the day we are all happy. Mom-1 kids-1. We get to eat a delicious treat that isn’t being taken over by sugars, and is also something that is perfect for a hot summer day.
