If you can remember my love for popsicles in the summer then you’ll know why having a popsicle made from every fruit is a must. Homemade popsicles are healthy and taste just as good if not better! So, for this recipe we will be making a homemade, no sugar added, strawberry and yogurt popsicle. It’ll take no time to make and will be much better than any typical popsicle, and will have a lot less calories.

For this specific popsicle recipe, I decided to add a twist, yogurt! If you’ve ever had a strawberries and cream popsicle you’ll know where the idea came from. I am always trying to incorporate additional healthy ingredients into my kids snacks and meals, and plain yogurt is one of those things I just can’t get my little girls to love. So, turn it into a popsicle and boom, life changer, they are blown away and will eat 10 of them. When eating yogurt alone you can see it’s loaded with sugar, so making this recipe I incorporate plain yogurt, strawberries and natural sweeten with xylitol and erythritol. So, when I say incorporate I really mean sneak in, but it’s basically the same thing right? Either way, my kids love them and they are getting plenty of nutrients from eating them!

I personally love plain Greek yogurt. I love the taste and texture, but what I love more is the health benefits that come with it. I am willing to turn that yummy yogurt into a shake, smoothie, dipping sauce or even a popsicle if it means my kids will be eating more and healthier foods. And at the end of the day we are all happy. Mom-1 kids-1. We get to eat a delicious treat that isn’t being taken over by sugars, and is also something that is perfect for a hot summer day.

No Sugar Added Strawberry and Yogurt Popsicles

1 cups of plain low fat greek yogurt

2 cups of strawberries

4 tbsp powder Lite and Sweet

3/4 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

In a blender add the greek yogurt, strawberries, Lite and Sweet, lemon juice, and vanilla extract puree everything until smooth. Fill each popsicle mold with the strawberry mixture and place the popsicle mold in the freezer. Freeze overnight or till completely frozen. To remove from molds place it in running water for 20 seconds and pull out gently.
