I cut sugar out of my life many years ago, which meant soda would have to go too. Although I try to seldom drink soda especially since all diet sodas are made with artificial sweeteners, I usually choose water or a fresh juice that I make myself. And while I wish I could say that I could just use any lemonade as my soda replacement, it just wasn’t realistic. Store bought lemonade and lemonade from restaurants are all full of sugar. So it was easy for me to decide that it was time to create my own lemonade that is not only sugar free, but it has a kick of flavor being strawberry!

This lemonade is the perfect substitute to use for anyone trying to quit drinking soda because it is still very sweet tasting and refreshing! It also provides benefits that aids in digestion, boost vitamin C and many others. But my favorite thing about this drink would have to be the fact that it is sweetened with a natural sweetener xylitol and erythritol. We are using a natural sweetener called Lite and Sweet, natural strawberries, water and lemon juice. There are no artificial flavors which makes this drink healthy! And no one wants to waste any calories on drinks right?

While my favorite part about the lemonade is the fact that it is natural, I also have to throw in how much I love how diverse this drink can be. I decided to make a strawberry lemonade, but it would be so easy to throw in fresh raspberries, fresh peaches, fresh blackberries or even just keep it simple and do fresh lemons. Either way it’ll be sugar free and absolutely delicious! Your mouth will water just thinking about this lemonade on a warm summer day!

Plus is easy to make and would be a great addition to serve for a BBQ or a summer get together.

No Sugar Added Strawberry Lemonade

2 cups Lite and Sweet, divided 

8 large strawberries, halved 

6 cups water, divided

2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice 

Directions 

In a blender place the Lite and Sweet, blend it for 1-2 minutes or until powdered.  Set the powder Lite and Sweet aside in a bowl. Add the strawberries to the blender with 1/2 cup of the powder Lite and Sweet, pour 1 cup water and blend until strawberries transform into juice. 

Combine strawberry juice with 5 cups of water, the rest of Lite and Sweet, and lemon juice in a large pitcher; stir until well blended. Chill before serving and serve with ice, garnish with cut strawberries and lemon slice.
